Live-blogging while anchoring the news: The CNN experiment

First we had blogging reporters and citizen-journalists, and now it seems that CNN has added live-blogging news anchors to the mix. As I was channel surfing a couple of days ago, I caught Anderson Cooper announcing that he would be live-blogging from his 360 show this week. Cooper started the experiment on his February 6th show, by reading and responding to viewer comments during commercial breaks. The idea of live-blogging news anchors doesn't seem to be completely new however. Apparently Greta Van Susteren over at Fox News has been both blogging and commenting while anchoring On The Record. Talk about multi-tasking...

This looks like an interesting attempt by CNN to make their shows more interactive and to draw TV viewers to their website. Is it paying off? According to a CNN spokesperson who was interviewed by TVNewser, the page had more than 12,000 views from 10 p.m. to midnight on the first night, and the live-blogging is scheduled to continue "occasionally with the goal of making it a nightly event."

Greta, You were the voice of reason during the O.J. trial, this guy is looking for money or making a name for himself,It is obvious to anyone who watched this trial "Ron Goldman" fought Valiantly with someone, but it was not O.J.,Millions of people saw the picture of O.J.'s naked upper torso, NOT ONE BRUISE,SCAR nor any scrape on his body.Ron was kicking somebody's ass,but it was not O.J.'s! The Dreamteam proved it, but upon Summation, Johnny became a Minister instead of the fine Attorney he was,and wrapped all of the evidence they had presented, and what came in...! There would have been no way people would still be saying he is Guilty, the prosecution's story was all over the map, the cut on his finger, made by a cut glass in the sink in the Hotel,s sink, which they had a picture of, Ray Charles could see O.J. was INNOCENT, and the Jury confirmed it. Now have this guy take a Lie Detector's Test, and if he pass Then I might listen to his Madness.....

Greta, don't get caught up in this guy's madness, he is looking for fifteen minutes of fame, the guy's an idiot...You heard him say he was really good friends, and O.J. intrusted him with such dear information, yet he cut him off, by changing his number, and not giving it to him, think about it, Why would O.J entrust that kind of information to someone and walk away and make them angry enough to tell it..!
